Today was our second day of our Cool Kingdom Party!
Theme
Our theme was “Mary remained pure her whole life.” She never sinned.
Virtue of the Day
The Virtue of the Day was Purity. We did a virtue demonstration using a glass of mucky/dirty water and a glass of clean drinking water to teach a lesson on the difference between a sinful heart versus a pure heart.
Saint of the Day
The Saint of the Day was St. Therese of Lisieux. We presented each child with a saint card today, so please read the story on the back of the card with your child.
Faith Station
In the faith station, we discussed some of the ways we can keep our hearts and mind pure. We also heard a true story about when Mary appeared to a girl named Bernadette.
“Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” Luke 1:42
*Repeat this scripture to your child a few times to see if they can memorize it.
Music Station
The Cat.Chat songs of the day were: “Simplify” and “Jump In”. Ask your child to sing and do some of the actions to this song. You can also download all the songs with this link.
Craft Station
The children made beautiful flowers in the craft station today. They made one for Mary and one for you! We will be presenting the flowers made for Mary to her during our Friday perforance in the main church. We also had a Saint of the Day Coloring Page.
Snack Station
The kids had PURE WHITE snacks today. Ask them if they can think of other white snacks they could of had, and how these snacks can remind us of ways to keep our hearts and minds pure.
Games Station
We played "hit the target" and "place your heart on Mary" today - ask your child which was their favorite.
