Day 3 Recap
Click HERE to view photos from today!
Today’s destination country was France.
Theme
The Theme was “The Flight!” We explored praying through the ups and downs we encounter in life.
Virtue of the Day
The Virtue of the Day was Respect. We had a fun virtue demonstration using raw eggs. The raw eggs represents the fragile hearts of people around the world. We all know what happens when a raw egg hits the floor, it breaks. It is important to treat others with respect at all times. We need to remember we all have very fragile hearts.
Saint of the Day
The Saint of the Day was St. Bernadette. We presented each child with a saint card today, so please read the story on the back of the card with your child.
Faith Station
In the faith station, we learned how sin separates us from God and how prayer brings us closer to Him. We talked about how important it is to place Jesus at the center of our life, and how he wants to be a part of everything we do. Your child was also given an activity sheet called “Little Prayer Reminders”. You can help your child post up these reminders through out your home. (ie. bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, beside the phone...)
Bible Verse of the Day
“Ask and it will be given to you; Seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
*repeat this scripture to your child a few times to see if they can memorize it or ask them to teach you the song they learned in the faith station.
Music Station
The Cat.Chat songs of the day were “To The Sky” and “Plug Into Him.” Ask your child to sing and do some of the actions to these songs.
Craft Station
In the craft station, your child made their very own Prayer Journals! Ask your child to show you what they made today and how they plan to use it. We also did a Saint of the Day Coloring Page.
Snack Station
Since we were traveling to France today, the kids made a delicious snack in the colors of the French flag. Ask them what part of their snack they liked best. They also played some fun games!
Games Station
In the games station, we played Pilot Says and Musical Hoops! Ask your child to tell you about it.

More general questions to ask your child:
Tell me one thing you learned about the ups and downs of prayer today?
Where is your favorite place to pray?
When is your favorite time to pray in the day?
What was the best thing that happened to you today at VBS?
The Cat.Chat Challenge today is:
Challenge your child (or each member of your family) to set up a prayer spot. You may even choose to set one up as a family. You can put a Bible, Rosary, pictures of Jesus, Mary, the saints and angels, etc. You can even place your Cat.Chat prayer card there to remind you of the Cat.Chat way to pray. Try to spend time in your prayer spot for a couple minutes every day to talk and listen to Jesus.
Tomorrow’s theme is:
“Landing in Italy” and learning how to put prayer into action.
