Theme
Our theme today was "Jesus is King and Lord of our lives!"
Virtue of the Day
The Virtue of the Day was Love. We did a cool virtue demonstration using pitchers of water and empty cups to teach a lesson on God’s love for us. He wants to fill our hearts until we’re overflowing. The more we open our hearts, the more God’s love can come pouring in.
Saint of the Day
The Saint of the Day was St. Francis of Assisi. We presented each child with a saint card today, so please read the story on the back of the card with your child.
Faith Station
In the faith station, we discussed what it means to let Jesus be King of our lives by getting to know Him, love Him and serve Him. We also took a short visit to meet Jesus, our true King in the Blessed Sacrament. This was a special time for us to experience the love of Jesus.
“For he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called, chosen, and faithful.” Revelation 17:14
*Repeat this scripture to your child a few times to see if they can memorize it.
Music Station
The Cat.Chat songs of the day were: “To Be Like Jesus” and “Jesus Fill My Heart.” Ask your child to sing and do some of the actions to this song. You can also download all the songs with this link.
Craft Station
The children made Cool Kingdom Crowns in the craft station today. We collected them so they can wear them during our group picture on Friday. We also had a Saint of the Day Coloring Page.
Snack Station
The kids "Decorated a Donut" in snack today. They filled the donut hole with whipped cream and decorated it with sprinkles, reminding us that life without Jesus, our King, is like having a hole in our heart. We need to make room for Jesus at the center of our life. Jesus is the one who fills us with His love, and Mary our Queen, wraps us in her mantle and sprinkles us with her love, too.
Games Station
We played some fun games today - including one with "treasures!" Ask your child which was their favorite.

The Cat.Chat Challenge today is:
To gather as a family to pray an Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, your heart is burning with love for each one of us. We give our lives to you. Come and be the King of our hearts. Keep us in your heart and teach us to love the way that you love. Use us to spread your love throughout the whole world. We want to love you more and more. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen.
After the prayer, each family member can name one thing they can do to grow closer to Jesus.

Tomorrow, your child can look forward to learning about what it means to help Build the Kingdom of God.
